It's been awhile

since I"ve blogged last. I'm settling down in the house, getting the know the housemates and ironing out all the wrinkles. This past week classes started and with it comes the familiarity of walking, eating, sleeping, breathing, hearing, touching, tasting, smelling Montessori. Taking an AMI Montessori is very intense, I remember when I took my Primary courses, DH whether he wanted to or not was for all intents and purposes taking the course with me. Okay, so I have to work on my scheduling a bit to make sure I stay on top of things. Tok, (one of my housemates) and I go for a walk around the lake twice a day. The first is to clear our minds for the day ahead, the latter is to discuss concepts and review while everything is still fresh. We walk 6 miles a day and it feels wonderful! We see these goslings everyday on our walks.

On the knitting front, I'm stuck on a portion of the over-the-knee socks. There is something there that I just can't wrap my mind around and since I only knit a few minutes a day, I haven't really made any progress. I'm pretty sure it's not an errata, there was only one that I've heard of and that's at the heel and I'm at the shaping of the thigh portion. Hmmm, I'll figure it out eventually. Today was WW KIP day and I didn't go out to knit :-( I also wanted to go the yoga center not too far away that was having an intensive, but couldn't do that either. I have major assignments due every Monday (with this Monday being the first) and I haven't completed everything for it. I may have to make a midnight run to a Kinko's and print all the work out since I didn't want to bring my printer with. I'm trying to decide whether or not I'll be able to stay up tonight and finish the work, if so I'll go to Kinko's early tomorrow instead and spend the rest of the day reading for next week's lectures and theory discussions.

Hey girl, don't study too hard. Leave some room for fun. Okay?!

Your over-the-knee socks are coming along so nicely and there's no doubt that you won't solve that problem - I sure hope that your busy schedule will calm down a bit soon so that you'll get a bit more time for yourself to knit!
I totally adore the little goslings, such cuties they are!

Sounds like you're super busy right now. Hopefully even the little bit of knitting you have time for gives you a nice break from the intensity of your courses.

Yep, you're right, I'm really going to try to get the bulk of my work done by Fridays or Saturdays so I can at least get Sundays to relax & chill....and knit (oh and hike)

I didn't get to go and KIP on WWKIP day either. I'm glad to hear that you're settling in relatively well. I've been thinking about you!
